Energy and Sound

Over the past 5 weeks at school we've been learning about energy. Energy is something that cannot be destroyed or created only changed that means we will always have the same amount of energy in the world . we have also looked into sound and how it travels we have done lots of experiments in class around sound. for example we tied a long piece wool onto a spoon and wrapped the wool around our fingers and put our fingers in our ears.We then swung the spoon into the desk. it sounded like charms swinging and hitting a table.
We also found out that sound travels at 332 meters per second and light could travel around earth 7 times per second because light travels faster than sound.
we also found out sound travels threw solids and liquids faster than inn the air. Also you can't hear inside a vacuum because there is no air inside it.

we learnt some interesting things over the past few weeks i learnt that.
-Light travels faster than sound.
- sound travels at 332 meters per second.
- you can't hear inside a vacuum.
- it takes 1 second for light to travel 7 times around earth.
- sound travels faster through solids and liquids than air.

  1. Great post Lilly. It shows you have done some interesting learning. I wonder if radio waves are faster or slower than sound waves.
